I really need help getting light and sweet makeup ideas. i hate over applied make up. i am really picky about foundations too. Please help!!!I'm 17 and dont know how to apply make up.?
I really hate over applied makeup too, and it looks really bad on me becuse I am so fair and freckly, so I totally agree with you. I really like using Burt's Bees tinted moisturizer as a foundation because it is very natural looking. For my eyes, I use an eyeliner pencil to line about three quarters of the way from the outside of my eyes (leaving the inner corners unlined) and smudge a lot with my finger so there is not a sharp line. Then I use a touch of mascara, making sure to leave no clumps. I use one of those eyelash/eyebrow combs to get the clumps out of my eyelashes after mascara application. I use some loose powder on my face and then apply a light lip gloss or lip tint and that's pretty much it. Just experiment and find out what looks good on you as far as colors and stuff. A good time to do practice with makeup is right before you get in the shower, that way you can wash it all off before anyone sees your pink eyeshadow experiment.I'm 17 and dont know how to apply make up.?
You sound like a naturalist. Accentuate your best features. If you worried about what tones to pick, shimmering soft colors do wonders for natural looks. Powder face bronzers are good to use if you do not like foundation because they simply add a natural glow. If you do not like to put eyeliner under the eye, over the eyelid is a good way to doll up the eyes with a coat of mascara for the lashes. Lipstick may do to much for the lips but shimmering lip glosses may add just enough color. If you are a pink type of girl makeups that are warm and shiny or if you are a earth tone then bronzes are great. If you like texture try a lil of both to add here and there and to swap up the look a little. This method keeps you from wearing to much make up.
first, find a foundation that would be suitable for your face. then a quick sweep of bronzer on your face. then eyeliner and a touch of mascara.
go to MAC or a department store cosmetic center and get them to do your makeup. go to several places and take notes to help you decide.
just put on a little lipgloss, blush/bronzer, mascara, and eyeliner
Since its summer I like to use Neutrogena ';healthy skin blends- natural radiance bronzer'; to look tanner, with some lipgoss w/ gold in it. I love doing up the eyes with a smokey liner, preferably black. Most girls like the great lash mascara, works like a charm.

is a good link to get the basics. If you want more natural looks, skip the foundation altogether and just use blush, that's what I do in the summertime. Pick colors that are light and neutral and just have fun! You can get really cheap makeup at dollar stores, just to bring home and practice with in the mirror. Then when you find a color you like, find a similar color in a slightly more expensive brand.
ok well how about treat urself to ulta to get ur makeup done and ask them questions about applyin the make up so try that
well it depends on your skintone..
if your dark.. dont put on light colors..
it wont match and try not to wear too much eyeshadow, mascara , eyeliner, or lipstick..
or any of those..
my best advice is to go to a Macy's Dept store and the make up counter and ask for a lesson on your best colors or foundation tones. They are there to help or contact a Mary Kay consultant near you. They can come to your house and help you with all kinds of make up questions.
If you check out this site it has guides and things to help you apply make up. Plus the make up that they sell is very affordable and I love it.
just put on a little lipgloss, bronzer, mascara, and eyeliner(black)
Since its summer I like to use brownezers or nice shimmer eyeshadow...but EYELINER is the best!:)
if you have a big sister go with her and tell her to help you or tell a firendyand that firendy is good she will help you.
well...
if u want to apply make-up pick out some colors that u like or match w/ ur outfit or that can make u POP(AS IN UR EYES FOR EX.) the secret to makeup is to look like ur not wearing it but dont use to much cuz that cheap stuff can make u break out fast!
-buy a covergirl power foundation and put it on lightly. make sure it matches your skin tone...
-put eyeliner on the bottom lid lightly, then smudge it with a Q-tip for smoky eyes...
-put mascara on the top eye lashes..its hard to get them both even..
-add some eye shadow or blush if you want.

GO2 1 OF DA LANCOME OR MAC COUNTERS N ASK THEM 2 DO UR MAKEUP N ALSO TELL THEM 2 TEACH U EACH STEP N DAT WAY U CAN ALSO FIND OUT WITH COLORS SUIT U N LEARN HOW TO APPLY MAKEUP!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with other people that you should go and get a consultation with a trained professional. I think mineral make-up is the way to go it's light, easy to use and most importantly it's natural looking. Bare minerals is excellent and Philosophy makes a mineral make-up. You should go to Sephora since they deal with make-up and beauty products exclusively and ask for a free consultation. Good Luck!
Go to a comsmetic counter at a department store (if you can). Make an appointment with them to try basics. At 17, maybe you could try Clinique (I am a finance manager/not into selling anything). I did this for each of my teenage daughters and they learned to apply cosmetics and use skin care. It cost me the amount of purchasing a basic skin care package. [I don't think it would have cost anything if I / they didn't like it.]

Can i use a blush brush to apply powder make up?
will it give me less coverage than a powder brush cause i have a face that DOSE NOT NEED TOO MUCH COVERAGE THANK GOD. wondering cause i have 2 blush brushes. oh and they are from cinique are the hairs from the bushes synthetic that will scratch my face? thank youCan i use a blush brush to apply powder make up?
No, a smaller brush will concentrate the make up more and you'll end up with more on your face. I would still use a big make up brush because you'll be able to blend the powder more throughly, and you won't end up with cakey make up. Make sure you clean your brushes once a week too. Can i use a blush brush to apply powder make up?
Actually using a blush brush might apply it a bit heavier. If you go for a bigger brush, it'll actually give you a sheerer application. Try a kabuki brush or a buffer brush. Good luck!
You can use whatever you want, it wont make a difference. I use different brushes every day, whatever I grab, but brushes shouldn't scratch your face unless you are using a brillo pad :)
I use a blush brush and it works very well. I think it will work just fine and it won't scratch your face either, otherwise it would scratch your face when you put blush on.
Just use anything, as long as its not lyk, been down the loo or anyfink :P *it's not v. hygeinic XD trust me, it doesnt matter!
Hope I Helped XD

What are the essential daily make up I should apply?
What are the essential things I should do daily?
-I pluck my eyebrow
-occassionally curl my eyelashes for school
Should I be doing anything else? (keep in mind i'm just growing out of my tomboy stage at the moment and i'm 17)What are the essential daily make up I should apply?
I'm also 17 and growing out of a tomboy stage. I just use a tiny bit of concealer and sunblock, a little blusher maybe and occasionally really light mascara. It depends on your natural coloringss and skin tone and so on though. A little blush and mascara always goes down well though. What are the essential daily make up I should apply?
Makeup and clothing is an issue for many teenage girls. If you are stressing about what you should look like as a newcomer in middle school, or a freshie in high school, here's a quick guide to help your fashion mature with you throughout middle and high school.
In Sixth grade, wear lip gloss, some mascara, and maybe a little bit of pale eyeshadow; don't go too heavy or it may look bad. If you want to try out more types of makeup, keep that for home experiments.
As for clothes, keep it in your comfort level. Bear this in mind: if you are wearing a bra or undershirt, don't let the straps hang out. It doesn't look cool; it just looks sloppy. If you are wearing a short shirt, check in the mirror to see if your stomach hangs out of the bottom. Otherwise, wear something a little bit longer. Also, if your pants are likely to slip, wear a belt. Belts are totally hip now!
* The main point is to keep the makeup light, and the clothes clean cut.
omg am 13 and i do makeup more than you do
you have to put eyeliner or eyeshadow and mascara and you don't have to forget to put lip gloss and do your hair
and you'll look perfect
depends
if you have flawless skin, then foundation and stuff isnt necessary.
i use eyeliner, concealer andchapstick (its not makeup but yea)
It depends on how good your skin is...if yours is decent, you could just put on some mascera and some blush if you want more color. That's what I usually wear on a daily basis.

I have adobe photoshop 7.0.1 , how do you apply make up and blusher to eyes and cheeks.?
and how to get rid of harsh lines when using the brushes.
thnxI have adobe photoshop 7.0.1 , how do you apply make up and blusher to eyes and cheeks.?
Here is a link to one tutorial about adding blush or color to any part of an image.

Harsh lines usually are the result of having the brush hardness set too high. Use a softer brush. Also, if you do the retouching on a separate layer you can reduce the opacity of that layer to blend the edges of your brush strokes better.

How to apply make up basics >_>?
Alright im'a ';noob'; at putting make up on since i dont really use anything but eyeliner. Anyways what should I use to make my like darker skin parts and damaged skin get covered up o.o cause i have there parts that its just ek %26gt;_%26lt; so yeah also what could help me look a little lighter? links would be appreciated :X
Also could you tell me how to apply it etc? Thank in advanced %26lt;33How to apply make up basics %26gt;_%26gt;?
Get a foundation that is YOUR skin color. Make sure you try to get it as close as possible. Some people want to look tanner or lighter and go for a different shade, and they get that awful jaw line. It's best to get exactly your shade, don't go around that.
Get a concealer which is also your skin color. However, where you want to use it depends. If you want to use concealer under your eyes to hide dark circles, get a shade that is just a smidge lighter (it highlights your eyes ever so slightly). When it comes to covering up problem spots, closest to your skin is best.
Most people say the process is concealer THEN foundation. However, experts say that this can rub off the concealer and show your flaws later in the day. Do foundation first and then concealer after.
When applying foundation, I personally like to use my fingers. A sponge soaks up the make up too quickly, and it is a waste. Just make sure your hands are clean, and work with small amounts of foundation at a time.
DON'T put on so much, you wear a mask. Make sure you can still see your skin underneath; the foundation is just used to smooth out and even your skintone.
After foundation and conealer comes powder. I like a shade that's just a tiny bit lighter. It sort of gives you a ';glow'; look. But getting a powder exactly your skin color won't hurt at all. It's just ranging too dark where it looks fake.
Rouge or bronzer comes next. Rouge is always good; do it on the cheekbones that go up towards your hairline. (Press your fingers to your cheeks - you'll feel where the bones are.)
Bronzers are good.....but most people don't know how to apply them properly. If you want to do a bronzer, DON'T over-do it. It looks very fake and cheap. Just a hint on you cheeks, chin, nose, and forehead work. But do it so it gives a tanned effect, but it's not noticable (if that makes sense...)
When it comes to eyes, this is the order I do it in: eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara. Choose an eyeshadow which compliments your eye color for an everyday wear (the Almay eye color accent products are my favorite. They have them for blue, green, hazel, and brown eyes. They match perfectly).
When it comes to dressy looks, go a little crazy and have fun with it. But subtle colors are always best. Never be afraid to add just a little, tiny shimmer though. :]
Eyeliner is usually best when in a stick form. Liquid eyeliner is too intense, the powder form is bad for beginners. I like the self-sharpening eyeliner sticks from Covergirl. They even throw on a little sponge eraser on the other side to help mistakes. Remember: when applying eyeliner, the more ';bunched'; it is at the outter corner of your eyes, the smaller your eyes look. For some people this is an advantage, for others, not. Black is a good color for everyone, just use it sparingly. Huge, gigantic lines of eyeliner on your top lid is rediculous looking, and not flattering. Get a thin line on your top and bottom lid as CLOSE to the lash line as possible.
Mascara is a funny one. I see girls who just load up on the mascara so much, I'm amazed they can even hold their eyes open. The point of mascara is to make your lashes fuller and longer; don't make it look like stage make up. Clumping is noticable and bad, so find mascaras with the new ';revolutionary'; bristles. They work well and it's hard to clump together. Some brands don't apply thoroughly, though, so it's just a matter of experimenting.
Remember: make up is supposed to look NATURAL. You don't want to buy things which make it highly obvious to others. You want people to see the good effects of the make-up, you don't want them to point out things (this being especially true of eye makeup. Really, DON'T go crazy. I know it's fun, but girls just go off the deep end and it ends up looking terrible). Think of make up like a ';disappearing act';. You want to hide all the little flaws, you don't want to make new ones.
Good luck :]How to apply make up basics %26gt;_%26gt;?
I think you shold start by putting on a base of foundation. It will even your skin tone, and you might find it covers up the areas you feel need a little help. There's lots of different kinds of foundation out there, but my suggestions are a pigmented cream for extra coverage or mineral/powder foundation for a natural look. If you find you still need extra coverage, go over your problem areas with a concealer. I like taking a small brush (you don't have to spend much, I use a little water color paint brush) to dab concealer (which matches my foundation) right over the dark spot or blemish, then I carefully blend the outer edges until it looks like the rest of my skin. The reason i put concealer on after foundation is that when I used to do it the other way round, the foundation always smeared the concealer. Finally, powder everything to set your make up! hope that helps.
Well, if you have some conceler , that would probably help. If you just put a dab of it on the spot, then rub it in in a circular type motion ( cuz it blends in better) i'm pretty sure that would help. Just make sure the color isn't too different from your natural skin color.
Use a bit of bronzer to even your tone out and make them look nice. Just sweep it on with a big brush. One from MAC or Bobbi Brown.oil companies

Make-up whats better at applying foundation brush, figures, sponge best answer top marks?
ok well i was wondering what is the best way of applying foundation tell me what is better in your opinion and what does each applience do different from one another
Figures:........................
Sponge:(what is the diffrence between wet sponge and dry sponge)....
brush:.................
i wanted to know if using a brush looks different then applying with a sponge or figures please help me understandMake-up whats better at applying foundation brush, figures, sponge best answer top marks?
It depends on what type of foundation you're using.
TINTED MOISTURIZER/ ';CREME';:: fingers, indefinitely
LIQUID: brush. get the nice kind. like mac.
POWDER: sponge. picks up the pigment better.
**wet sponge (only for liquid foundation) doesn't pick up as much product or waste (absorb) as much as a dry sponge would. Also when a wet sponge is used for this, the effect is more dewy, more natural.Make-up whats better at applying foundation brush, figures, sponge best answer top marks?
For powder or mineral foundation a blusher type brush is best, its easiest to use, less is wasted and it gets applied evenly. For liquid foundations a brush or a sponge would do, however spreading it may be easier with a brush and less is wasted by being absorbed like with a sponge. Using a dry sponge means the foundation will be more concentrated and give you more coverage, using a wet sponge kind of dilutes the foundation which is good if you don't want as much coverage.
when it comes to putting on foundation use a sponge ... dry one and smooth it on .... if you do it right it should go on evenly and the brush ... helps out alot when you have imperfections you can dab it on a little better and it wont show. If you dont like either you can always get foundation arosol its amazing as well you technically just spray it on from afar and it gives you a polished look... GOODLUCK hope i helped you
well.
I use a sponge. and the difference between a dry sponge and a wet one, is that when you wet the sponge it wont hold onto as much foundation as a dry one, you want your foundation on your face, not the sponge.
and a brush is fine too, it might help you blend in your makeup more. Im not so sure though.
Well sponge sucks! It grabs too much of the foundation, brush is better b/c you could put as much as u want on it and not worring bout how much/ too much is on it
brush is better at applying foundation on any typ of foundation too, like creams and powder, you cant do all that w/sponge!see!
for a liquid foundation, i would use a foundation brush, if i didnt have one though, i would use a sponge. same goes for whipped foundation.. or foundation sticks. for powdered foundation, dont use fingers, use the sponge thing that comes in the compact. or a brush.
i like using a sponge for liquid foundation
and a brush for powder/mineral foundation
brushes pick up powders the best and distribute, by far, the best
sponges give even coverage, but it can't pick up and distribute a powder very well
i've never tried figures

How to prevent oily faceafter you apply make up?
Make sure you always use oil free products , that includes oil free moisturiser ( yes it is still important to moisturise even if your skin is oily).
You should be able to purchase blotting paper for the face, this usually has a slight talc powder covering on top that gives you a nice matt look throghout the day when used. How to prevent oily faceafter you apply make up?

Use a good loose powder.
Oil-absorbing sheets. You can get them at the drugstore for $5 clean %26amp; clear makes great ones. The also sell more expensive ones at Shesido but the clean %26amp; clear work great. Just use them all day long to keep from being shiny and you won't be all powdery.
Anastasia gave good advice, on top of that add using a loose (not pressed) powder applied lightly with a large brush.
I use 'facial blotting tissue'. They are little rectangular pieces of paper with a bit of talc on one side. They soak up the oil. I got mine from Crabtree %26amp; Evelyn. The Body Shop made some really good ones but I'm not sure if they still have them there. It's much better than using regular powder to cover up the oil since that just keeps adding makeup to your face and eventually you look cakey. I use regular tissue sometimes but that just ends up removing your makeup over the course of the day.
try befor u apply, moisterize skin w/ a really good moisterizer, the apply light foundation, and apply all u want
pressed compact powder. it works great.
