It depends on what type of foundation you're using.

TINTED MOISTURIZER/ ';CREME';:: fingers, indefinitely

LIQUID: brush. get the nice kind. like mac.

POWDER: sponge. picks up the pigment better.

**wet sponge (only for liquid foundation) doesn't pick up as much product or waste (absorb) as much as a dry sponge would. Also when a wet sponge is used for this, the effect is more dewy, more natural.Make-up whats better at applying foundation brush, figures, sponge best answer top marks?
For powder or mineral foundation a blusher type brush is best, its easiest to use, less is wasted and it gets applied evenly. For liquid foundations a brush or a sponge would do, however spreading it may be easier with a brush and less is wasted by being absorbed like with a sponge. Using a dry sponge means the foundation will be more concentrated and give you more coverage, using a wet sponge kind of dilutes the foundation which is good if you don't want as much coverage.
when it comes to putting on foundation use a sponge ... dry one and smooth it on .... if you do it right it should go on evenly and the brush ... helps out alot when you have imperfections you can dab it on a little better and it wont show. If you dont like either you can always get foundation arosol its amazing as well you technically just spray it on from afar and it gives you a polished look... GOODLUCK hope i helped you
well.

I use a sponge. and the difference between a dry sponge and a wet one, is that when you wet the sponge it wont hold onto as much foundation as a dry one, you want your foundation on your face, not the sponge.

and a brush is fine too, it might help you blend in your makeup more. Im not so sure though.
Well sponge sucks! It grabs too much of the foundation, brush is better b/c you could put as much as u want on it and not worring bout how much/ too much is on it

brush is better at applying foundation on any typ of foundation too, like creams and powder, you cant do all that w/sponge!see!
for a liquid foundation, i would use a foundation brush, if i didnt have one though, i would use a sponge. same goes for whipped foundation.. or foundation sticks. for powdered foundation, dont use fingers, use the sponge thing that comes in the compact. or a brush.
i like using a sponge for liquid foundation

and a brush for powder/mineral foundation

brushes pick up powders the best and distribute, by far, the best

sponges give even coverage, but it can't pick up and distribute a powder very well

i've never tried figures

How to prevent oily faceafter you apply make up?

Make sure you always use oil free products , that includes oil free moisturiser ( yes it is still important to moisturise even if your skin is oily).

You should be able to purchase blotting paper for the face, this usually has a slight talc powder covering on top that gives you a nice matt look throghout the day when used. How to prevent oily faceafter you apply make up?
use oil free make up and those rice paper strips that take oil right off when you pat on your faceHow to prevent oily faceafter you apply make up?
Use a good loose powder.
Oil-absorbing sheets. You can get them at the drugstore for $5 clean %26amp; clear makes great ones. The also sell more expensive ones at Shesido but the clean %26amp; clear work great. Just use them all day long to keep from being shiny and you won't be all powdery.
Anastasia gave good advice, on top of that add using a loose (not pressed) powder applied lightly with a large brush.
I use 'facial blotting tissue'. They are little rectangular pieces of paper with a bit of talc on one side. They soak up the oil. I got mine from Crabtree %26amp; Evelyn. The Body Shop made some really good ones but I'm not sure if they still have them there. It's much better than using regular powder to cover up the oil since that just keeps adding makeup to your face and eventually you look cakey. I use regular tissue sometimes but that just ends up removing your makeup over the course of the day.
try befor u apply, moisterize skin w/ a really good moisterizer, the apply light foundation, and apply all u want
pressed compact powder. it works great.

Hi there,

First try a local Mary Kay Lady, they might have a video for you to watch, if not they can give you some good pointers.

Also first match your foundation to your skin color, using a sponge dab it on and blend, blend, blend so you have a very natural looking foundation.

I hope this helps a bit. Take care.

Have a great day.

It has helpful videos and they're pretty good quality.

If not, just get a beauty consultation at Shoppers Drug Mart (if you're in Canada) or any department store, and I think Sephora does them too. Good luck!

How do you apply make up?

i would like to learn the right way on putting make up onHow do you apply make up?
It depends whether you want a simple look, natural look, or what? Basically, however, it's always good to put a touch of cream and spread it throughout your face before applying any makeup for protection. Next, apply a foundation color that is close to your skin color (unless you want to looker whiter or give yourself a bronze look then buy the appropriate color). There are liquid foundations and there are powder, with time you'll know what your preference is. You apply a blusher of a color you wish. Previously it was in fashion to use a lipliner to outline your lips with a darker shade of your lipstick color and then apply the lipstick inside the outline you made but now it is more fashionable to apply your lipstick and apply on top of it a lip gloss of a similar color. As for the eyes, you can apply kohl by moving from the inside of your eye and moving outward, the more you repeat this, the darker the kohl gets. As for your eyelid you can apply an eyeshadow throughout your eyelid or blend in two or even three colors or you can also use one color and make just a line right on top of your eyes. Hope this helped! How do you apply make up?

How to apply make up to look cute?

makeup doesn't make u cute. ur attitude is the main point. anyway, u dun ha to make urself cute, just b urselfHow to apply make up to look cute?
Make up won't make you cute. Cleanliness, friendliness, smiles and a sweet disposition make you cute.

Make-up only hides ugly!

Just an opinion from a father of 3 pretty girls! How to apply make up to look cute?
There's nothing wrong with wearing make up. The key is to not overdo it. It all depends on your skin color, and eye color. Very light foundation. A translucant powder. Mix some bronzer with a little pink on the cheeks. Watch using very black eye liners. Too goth. Use a satin brown for an eyeliner. When picking out eye shadows, go for the earth tones. No blues!! Stay away from thickening mascaras, unless you are out on the town! Use a lash seperator instead. Use a small amount of tinted gloss on the lips. The main thing is to look like you're not wearing any make up at all.
Don't. Just smile and be friendly. Or, try putting your hair in cheerleader bunches.
i just put on eyeliner and lipgloss. i always thought clothes helped, too.
makeup is to enhance your face and not to change what you really look like unless you're going somewhere... just try to make your makeup simple. you could just use face powder, mascara, and a lip and cheek tint. overdoing your makeup will just make you un-cute ;) BUT, personality is the most important thing. be yourself.

No matter what you look like, with or without makeup, you should always learn how to carry yourself. beauty is skin deep.
Very lightly! The natural look is the best. Just use makeup to enhance your own beauty. Night time you can use a little heavier but don't go overboard. Follow your cheekbones for blush. Don't wear black eyeliner it will take away the beauty of your eyes. Use a light color eye shadow on the inside corner of your eye and a darker color for the outside corner. You can use a very light eyeshadow right under your eyebrow to highlight but it is not necessary. Use eyeliner (if you really want to) on the outside lower corner of your eye very lightly and Masgara should only be used sparingly!
To look ';cute'; as in young/bubbly etc., always go with pink. Frosted baby pink eye shadow, with very light blue eyeliner, a good coat of light black mascara, a pale base of foundation with a light dusting of powder on top, and finally a sticky mauve lipgloss to finish it off. Skip the blusher though, it is not needed for the cute look. Good luck!!!

How can i apply my make up to make my eyes appear bigger and more blue?

what eye shadow colors should i use? how should i apply them? how should i apply my eye liner, etc?

thanks:DHow can i apply my make up to make my eyes appear bigger and more blue?
If you want bigger eyes don't touch your bottom lids at all. Don't use mascara, or liner on your bottom lash line. Put on a couple coats of jet black mascara to your top lashes, and a thick line of black liner, wing it out a little bit. To make them more blue you should use metallic gold or silver on the inner and outer corners of your eyes. Put a little blush on your cheeks and you'll look like a doll. How can i apply my make up to make my eyes appear bigger and more blue?
white eyeliner will make your eyes appear bigger. for mascara use covergirl's exact eyelights: http://www.covergirl.com/products/produc鈥?/a>

it is designed for each eye color and supposed to make them appear brighter

eyeshadow colors: browns will complement your blue eyes

to apply your make-up:

1. put the white eyeliner around your whole eye

2. put eyeshadow on your eyelid

3. put your regular eyeliner on the top lid only because if you put it on the bottom, you will completely cover up the white eyeliner, defeating the purpose.

4. put on the exact eyelights mascara
put black eyeliner all the way around your eyes, like in the crease between your eye and nose and on the inside of your upper lid. its not painful, i do it everyday
do a light shade of green or pink (not blue) apply a !thin! layer of these colors with a puffy brush. mascara, and no eye liner.

Just think Roaring '20s! Pale skin, red lips, overly made-up eyes - women were rebelling against the expectation that makeup not be obvious, so they went over the top. You can find more at the website I posted. Have fun!I have to go to a Great Gatsby party, How should I apply my make up?
I'm sure if you do some Googling you can find a picture of Mia Farrow in character from the 1974 movie--especially since her picture in charactger was the cover of the very first issue of People magazine.

I'm thinking pale face and very very rosy cheeks, heavy mascara and some eyeshadow too.I have to go to a Great Gatsby party, How should I apply my make up?
defintely use powder (to create a matte look) your want to look fair and delicate. Apply mascara only on your upper lashes. And super red-brick lipstick. Have hair in an updo.
