Since you didn't really specify what kind of make up, I will just give you a brief tip on a lot of stuff...

Foundation- I would suggest using a make up sponge to apply it. Start in the center of your face, and move outward.

Concealer- Even though you normally hear that you shouldn't touch your face, I think concealer is an exception. Just get a little bit on your finger, then pat it onto the problem spot. Don't rub it. When you use your finger, your body heat melts it a little into your face, so it looks more natural.

Powder- Use a really big, fluffy brush. If it is loose power, make sure to tap off the excess powder before you put it on your face. Then just swipe it all over your face, paying special attention to your t-zone (forehead and nose area).

Blush- Use a big brush, not as big as the powder one. There are many different ways to apply blush, my favorite is when you smile to see the apples of your cheeks, then just sorta brush some on there.

Eyeshadow- They sometimes come with eyeshadow brushes. Use a small brush with a spongy part on the end. Then just wipe some on your lids, up to your crease. Use a slightly darker color inside your crease if you want your eyes to look a little bigger. Then use a lighter color up on your brow bone as a highligher.

Eyeliner- Try to get it as close to your lash line as possible. Some people prefer the pencil kind, and some prefer liquid, so you will just have to experiment to see which you like.

Mascara- If you have light colored hair, then use brown mascara instead of black, it looks less harsh than black. Open your eyes real wide, put the mascara brush at the base of your lashes, and then wiggle it a bit as you move up your lashes. You may need to brush through your lashes with a lash comb to get rid of any clumps.

I hope this helped :)
I am going to assume that if you don't know how that your younger so here are 10 steps to a complete makeover and I really hope you find it usefull:

Step1

Apply a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation. Dot it on over any blemishes or under-eye circles and blend with your fingertips or a makeup sponge. If your concealer tends to cake, apply eye cream first.

Step2

Choose foundation that matches your skin tone exactly. Apply it in dots over the central part of your face, then blend it out with a makeup sponge or your fingertips until it covers your entire face (see Related eHows).

Step3

Use a loose or pressed powder to keep foundation and concealer on longer. Use pressed powder to touch up when you're away from home.

Step4

Do your eyebrows next. Use powdered eyebrow shadow on brows instead of pencil, which can often look unnatural. Apply it with a hard, slanted brush.

Step5

Choose three colors of eye shadow: light, medium and dark. Use the dark only to line your upper eyelid, in a fairly thin line along the upper lashes. Use the medium shade for the crease and the lightest shade for the area under the eyebrow. There are many variations on eye shadow application techniques.

Step6

Apply eyeliner. Use a cake eyeliner with a damp, thin liner brush, or an eyeliner pencil, and line the lower lid below the lashes. Line only the outer two-thirds of the lower lid, or all the way across if you're trying to achieve a darker look. Line all the way across the upper lid (just above the lash line and as close to the lashes as possible), or start the line where your lashes begin.

Step7

Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes, in two thin coats to avoid clumpiness. Choose brown mascara if your coloring is fair; black or brown-black works well for darker coloring. Or try a colored mascara such as navy or plum for fun, but don't go too bright if you want to be taken seriously.

Step8

Smile to find the apples of your cheeks, and apply blush to the apples or below, whichever you prefer. If you have to blend in blush, it's too bright.

Step9

Choose a lipstick color that's suited to your skin tone and that's perfect for your day look. You can mix colors and textures to suit your moods and your outfits.

Step10

Line lips after applying lipstick, not before. That way you won't end up with a dark circle of lip liner after your lipstick has worn off. Avoid combining very dark lip liner and pale lipstick.
it depends how far into the 'make-up world' as such you want to go.

do you just want to wear eye make-up? or do you want to go the whole way and wear foundation, face powder, blusher, and everything?

the best way to understand it would be to watch tutorials for how to apply each type of make-up on youtube and other video websites.

but it's not really difficult to do and this is my little tutorial.

FACE MAKE-UP - foundation cream you just blob around your face and rub it in, for face powder you get some on a make-up brush and brush it onto your face. for blusher you get some on the brush and brush it up your cheekbones.

that's the ordinary facial make-up and even though it is sometimes the most important, it's the easiest to do, apart from lip make-up which is obviously just applying lip gloss or lip stick which is easy.

EYE MAKE-UP - this is where it gets a bit harder as you have to be more careful about what you do and it takes more concentration.

for mascara, you just use the mascara wand to do upwards strokes to your eyelashes. that's an easy one.

eyeliner is harder, you don't have to wear it but if you do want to, use an eyeliner pencil to draw a line underneath your eye as close to your eye as you possibly can, or you could pull the skin underneath your eye down a little bit and draw it on to the bit of skin above your bottom eyelashes.

use liquid eyeliner to do it on the top lid and this is the hardest one. it takes a lot of practice as you have to draw the line closest to your eyelashes as you possibly can and it can be a bit wobbly, but practice makes perfect.

hope i helped! remember i like being picked as best answer, and for more information go on youtube tutorials !
talk to your mom

but if you dont want too heres some advice:

if you pull down you bottom eylid theres a jelly feeling part.

thats where you put eyeliner on

but you can also put it in right on the line that your eyelashes grow out of or you could even put it on your top lid right on the edge of the lid

you put mascara on the lop eyelashes by simply brushing it on going upward if that makes sense.

eye sahdow is easy to put on you just put it on the top lid of your eye with somehting like a qtip or something

liquid coverup goes on blemishes (lol well duh) (:

you can just dab a little tiny bit on (and i mean a little tiny bit) a pimple or blemish and blend it in by dabbing it umtil it blends in.

if you have acne then you can rub around a little bit on the area until it blends in good.

i guess thats mostly the basics so i hope it helps you out!

go to a makeup counter at a mall and ask the makeup artist to teach you how to apply your own makeup. Just pick a makeup brand that you like tell them what you are looking for or ask what they recommend and as they apply their makeup they will teach u how to apply it and then u can buy it.
First if you have blemishes use concsaler or foundation BUT NOT TOO MUCH. becuase it will make your face look orange if u have a wrong colour and make your face look distorted and odd. ( to check if you have the right colour go to your drugstore and test it on your wrist. if it blends well it means its the right colour. ( remember if your trying to cover a pimple sometimes foundation and anything you put on top can make it worse) try different shades and colours of eyeshadow and play around with many colours on your free time. normally you want to have the lighter colours on your lid and darker ones on your crease if you want to make it look more defined. next put eyeliner on BEfORE eyeshadow that way the eyeshadow wont cover the eyeliner. if you want you can go and buy an eyelash curler and then put on mascara to hold it in place. and when it dries you can use your eyelash curler again. u can also use blush but use a colour that looks natural and not too off. and lip gloss would be better to use than lipstick if you have dry lips.

i hope this helps :)

xo
-a powder foundation is a good for a natural first timer. you swirl in case, tap off excess and buff onto face- circular motions everywhere- cheeks, nose,foreheadd,etc...

-blush is very easy just swirl tap and go back and forth from side of cheek to hairline.

-eyeshadow- u need a special brush- dip the brush and wave it back and forth onto thepalettee. close one eye and follow the curve of you eye. bottom, middle to top.

-eyeliner u must be very careful with- draw a careful line (just trace the line with your eyelashes but be very careful.

-mascara- carefully brush your eyelahe gently with the mascara brush and slowly so u can get every lash.

i think that is about it. just lipgloss- i think u can handle that. lip liner is so unnessacary if your young.

if this didnt help at all have a slumber party with ur friends and have makeovers- watch how they do it if u are scared they will make fun of u or just ask for help!!
well, it really depends on what you're trying to apply. i would check out youtube and search specifically what you're trying to do and how to do it.
