It depends on what type of foundation you're using.

TINTED MOISTURIZER/ ';CREME';:: fingers, indefinitely

LIQUID: brush. get the nice kind. like mac.

POWDER: sponge. picks up the pigment better.

**wet sponge (only for liquid foundation) doesn't pick up as much product or waste (absorb) as much as a dry sponge would. Also when a wet sponge is used for this, the effect is more dewy, more natural.Make-up whats better at applying foundation brush,figures,sponge best answer top marks?
For powder or mineral foundation a blusher type brush is best, its easiest to use, less is wasted and it gets applied evenly. For liquid foundations a brush or a sponge would do, however spreading it may be easier with a brush and less is wasted by being absorbed like with a sponge. Using a dry sponge means the foundation will be more concentrated and give you more coverage, using a wet sponge kind of dilutes the foundation which is good if you don't want as much coverage.
when it comes to putting on foundation use a sponge ... dry one and smooth it on .... if you do it right it should go on evenly and the brush ... helps out alot when you have imperfections you can dab it on a little better and it wont show. If you dont like either you can always get foundation arosol its amazing as well you technically just spray it on from afar and it gives you a polished look... GOODLUCK hope i helped you
well.

I use a sponge. and the difference between a dry sponge and a wet one, is that when you wet the sponge it wont hold onto as much foundation as a dry one, you want your foundation on your face, not the sponge.

and a brush is fine too, it might help you blend in your makeup more. Im not so sure though.
Well sponge sucks! It grabs too much of the foundation,brush is better b/c you could put as much as u want on it and not worring bout how much/ too much is on it

brush is better at applying foundation on any typ of foundation too,like creams and powder,you cant do all that w/sponge!see!
for a liquid foundation, i would use a foundation brush, if i didnt have one though, i would use a sponge. same goes for whipped foundation.. or foundation sticks. for powdered foundation, dont use fingers, use the sponge thing that comes in the compact. or a brush.
i like using a sponge for liquid foundation

and a brush for powder/mineral foundation

brushes pick up powders the best and distribute, by far, the best

sponges give even coverage, but it can't pick up and distribute a powder very well

i've never tried figures
