I have eczema on my face. Can I still apply make up?

Hi there. I have had eczema on my face my entire life. Before I attempt to answer the makeup question I just wanted to say that eczema is usually related to allergies, food, environmental. Dairy and wheat are huge culprits. Talk to your doctor about cutting those out for a few weeks and see if you feel any physical improvement, even though the eczema may initially get worse while all the toxins leave your body, it'll give you a good idea if you react negatively to those foods.

As for skin care and makeup, find the gentlest you can. I use health food stores. A great line for skin care is Green Beaver, it's very gentle but still helps with any blemishes I get. Don't wear makeup on the days you can, save it for when you want to look your best and slowly experiment with what ones work for you. If you have never worn makeup over the eczema you may want to try it on just a small area first and wait a few days to see if you react. Good luck!I have eczema on my face. Can I still apply make up?
i get eczema on my face sometimes and then I just use a tinted moisturiser.

It gives just enough coverage and colour without making your skin look scabby and over powdered.

Then a dab of mascara and some lip gloss and you look great!

Dewy fresh skin is all the rage anyway =]I have eczema on my face. Can I still apply make up?
absolutley. just no need for blush, well im assuming its on your cheeks and it adds its own pinkish tones , so like i said no need for blush {people say im lucky cuz i have something like eczema on my cheeks that always makes them pink lol}

%26amp; if you have it on your nose %26amp; your nose looks pinkish try and tone that down as much as you can with foundation. you should be good ! sorry if i took your question in the wrong way.. i was kinda thinken about my own situation, idk wat else it does??
of course u can have makeup on bt if u use a sponge 4 ur powder,u have to change it once the eczema is gone.
my sister has eczema and she put makeup on once and it actualy got worse,you don't know what your risking so i wouldn't but lipgloss will do.
you need to be really careful, I get it on my hands and ankles and if I put a certain type of lotion on it, I will die from pain, so ask a dermatologist and they will tell you what to do. I know that it sucks and hurts but I don't know if you should even put makeup on it, it might irritate it more.
get natural make-up. look at whole foods market.
ask a dermatologist
I have eczema but I still wear make-up. Just test some HYPOALLERGENIC make-up and if if get itchy remove the make-up and add moisturizer to lessen the dryness when you do find make-up that suits your skin buy it!

Note: Remember Hypoallergenic make is the best! Unfortunately though they aren't exactly affordable...
