I was wondering what order I should apply makeup. For ex. Base (What is base and is it the same as foundation?), foundation, concealer, face power...etc
Also how can I apply it to look natural?
Thanks xxWHAT ORDER DO I APPLY MAKE UP?
1. Cleanse
2. Tone
3. Moisturise
4. Concealer (only on spots/ blemishes)
5. Foundation (apply with a makeup sponge, even layer all over face)
6. Loose translucent face powder (apply with a big makeup brush)
7. Blush/ Bronzer (Just a little on cheek bones to define them, apply with a small makeup brush and blend in)
8. Eye liner (if you want to wear it)
9. Eye shadow (if you want to wear it)
10. Mascara (on the ends of your lashes both top and bottom lashes so that they can be seen)
Hope that helped :)WHAT ORDER DO I APPLY MAKE UP?
People have different opinions on this, and none is particularly wrong persay. I was told by a makeup artist to put foundation on before concealer, because you'll end up wiping off the concealer if you put it on first then apply your foundation after.
Powder comes last to set it all.
How natural it will look will honestly depend on your skin type, and whether you pick the right type of foundation to match it. There are varying levels of coverage each type of foundation offers, the lighter the coverage the more natural the look.
First, cleanse your skin. Use your favourite cleanser. Then if you want, use a toner. I personally find a toner to be useless, since it's just dried the skin out more and if I use one that is moisturizing, it breaks me out. A cleanser should do a fine enough job of cleaning your skin, Apply a moisturizer with SPF (or one without and then apply a separate sunscreen). Let it sink it for a few minutes. Then apply your makeup.
For skin makeup, the order is that you apply liquid or creme based products first (primer/base, foundation, concealer - foundation and concealer can be used in any order, it depends on your preference) and then powder products second (blush - if your blush is a creme or mousse, apply it after your foundation and before the setting powder - , bronzer, setting powder) Only apply the products that you want to apply. None of these are required, just optional.
For the eyes, you apply your base (if you have oily lids, use a primer like Urban Decay Primer Potion. If your lids are normal/dry, use foundation), your shadow, liner, mascara.
I personally always did my eye makeup before my face makeup, because I would get some fallout onto my face from eyeshadow, and sometimes i'd mess up something on my eyes and it would get on my face. I don't wear any face makeup now besides blush sometimes, which I apply after my eyes.
Applying natural means that you apply it properly, and make it look that it isn't there.
For a natural look foundation is way to much! I would suggest tinted moisturizer
1. Wash face
2. pat dry
3. Concealer (any red spots, like corner of your nose)
4. Tinted moisturizer
5. A little bit of powder (I dislike loose powder, it usually turns out orange on me)
6. Eye make up
7. Lip gloss
8. Blush or bronzer is last and optional
If you have a thick concealer, put that on before the foundation...dot the concealer, don't rub. If you rub you could leave streaks or it, if you dot you spread it more evenly.
Then add on foundation, using a foam applicator or dotting with your fingers.
Powder with a large fluffy brush after wards.
However, all of these together could clog your pores...only wear concealer if you must, and just a tiny bit of foundation to even out your skin. Powder sets it, but again, as little as possible.
1. cleanse, moisturize, tone (whatever your routine is, just start with clean skin)
2. primer, sometimes called a base, it's not the same- it doesn't seem like a big deal, but really makes a difference.
3. foundation
4. concealer
5. setting powder (if needed for liquid foundations)
6. countour/ blush (if powder- if it's cream you'll apply before setting)
7. eyes
8. mascara
9. brows
10. lips
1. wash your face
2. Base to match your skin color
3. a little blush for a natural look
4. If it's a must, eyebrow pencil
5. Eyeliner (maybe if you want a really natural look this could be disregarded)
6. Eyeshadow (Bronze or light colors if you still want that natural look)
7. Mascara
8. Light lip gloss to plump your lips Hope I helped!
1)clean
2)bronze
3)eyes
4)blush
5)lips/gloss
optional)gloss
first you put the moisturizer. then you put face pwder, then you start by putting eye makeup goin down to the lips
