Learning how to apply make up..?

My mother isn't big into make up.. and thus I was never allowed to be interested in it. Now that I am in my 20's and engaged, I am ready to be girly! Ha ha.. I just want to look alittle better and feel better about myself. However I have no clue what to do, and every time I try I end up looking like I let a 10 year old do it.. well.. no.. they know how to do it very well in this day and age. Are there any good sites for teaching this stuff? How do i know what looks good on me?Learning how to apply make up..?
underneath it need to know your tones:

skin-

olive= earthy shadows

fair= light pinks,blues,natural colors,golds

dark=golds,oranges,darks

lips-

bright lips= soft glosses with little color or none

soft regular non bright lips= glossy, brights, mediums

cheeks-

it depends on your skin tone do it a lil bit brighter and pinker but not much

tips-

practice and look at it in the mirror while you are doing it also you can go to a store like nordstroms and have some free makeovers always have a clean face wash it. foundation goes first. you apply the darker color eyeshadow on the crease of your eye the lighter goes underneath it and up by your brow and the medium if u have one goes somewhere close to the brow or on the actual lid. this will take some practice you will also want brown or black or gray eyeliner, and brown or black mascara hope i helped!!!Learning how to apply make up..?
I've heard that iVillage has some pretty good videos.

What I personally recommend doing is to go to the makeup counters at the stores and asking for a demonstration by the makeup ladies.

They might make up half your face, but at least you can see how they do it by using the mirror.

go on www.youtube.com and type in makeup. i found so many helpful tips by watching the videos. my favorite video was the one by tyra banks. it was really helpful.

Applying lemon juice before make up.

Ok I read that u should apply lemon juice before make up but my question is

*Why?

*Do i leave the the lemon juice on or do i take it off?

Ohh and another Questions..

Why is it good to rub ur face with an ice cube?

Thanx!Applying lemon juice before make up.
Lemon juice can be used to lighten up dark spots(like from acne) and even your skin tone.

You are suppose to leave the lemon juice on...Its just better to apply it before you go to bed.

I think the answer to your question about the ice cube is that rubbing your face with a ice cube helps close the pores.

  • How can i apply make up?

i have no idea how to wear make up so can some one please tell me what to do to wear it the right way?!

http://s707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/...How can i apply make up?
Idk if u r but a little eye makeup and Some bronzer and thats cute dnt cake it on and always have MASSCARAHow can i apply make up?
Start by applying a simple water-based foundation (its better for your skin than oil-based) when applying it stroke upwards with the tips of your fingers

Then you should set it with a powder

Then add a light blush to the apples of your cheeks(if you do a fish face you'll be able to see them really well)

Next you can apply black or brown mascara I probably wouldn't apply any to your bottom lashes just the top since your just starting to wear make-up

Eyeliner is kind of tricky you might want to wait on that

Finally you can finish the look with a clear gloss to make your lips pop

Dont go to overboard with the make-up you want it to look as natural as possible

Good Luck and I hope this helps! : )
It would be ideal to begin a makeup course, a place with one purpose, so you can learn how to put on make up. Now, if this solution doesn't seem affordable for the moment, you can read a lot of books written on this theme, purchased from bookshops or online.

Whatever information you get hold of it is important that it is presented in a structured manner.

Here are the first steps for a beginner, so you can learn how to put make up on. Let's start with a simple makeup look. You will need a foundation, at least two shades of makeup, a mascara, a blush, a lip liner and lipstick, both having the same shade.

You apply the foundation, pouring a small amount in your palm, and using your finger you spread the foundation slightly. But remember, before you do you must apply a hydrating cream, which will give adherence to the makeup.

The foundation shouldn't be deeply massaged, because it shouldn't get into the skin, but it should remain, like a film, on the surface of the complexion. If you want to apply it as well as you can, you can use a very small amount in order to be able to control the spreading.

A basic makeup principle is to start applying makeup from the upper side of your face. For the eyelids you may start with two makeup shades. Your eyes are successfully made up if the shades you use for it are mixed so that there is no limit between the colors.

The simplest way to learn how to put on make up is to just start, experiment at home, and you'll be pleasantly surprised at just how well you master how to put on make up.

I know 1 woman who does. I have wanted to tell her to lighten up, both on amount and color, but we aren't that close, and I don't want to offend her.
We used to have a teacher called miss Clay. she put her make up on so thick we would say she was wearing the stuff. Clay by name and Clay by nature we called her.
The chick to the left, in that SNORG T-shirt ad could use a trowel or two. For the Love of Maybelline why is she so pasty !!

How to apply make up like...?

Taylor Swift's in the 'Teardrops on my guitar' video when she's lying on the bed

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7DRtl6CT鈥?/a>

The base is sooo flawless %26amp; I love the eye area of it!

So if anyone can talk me through how to get made-up like that (any step or the whole face) I would appreciate it :]

Thank youuu! How to apply make up like...?
Wow! I love her look! It looks as though she's wearing foundation, concealer, light pink blush, false eye lashes, eye liner, mascara, metallic cream eyeshadow and decals. I would start with putting concealer under your eyes, on your eyelids, above the eyebrows and between the eyebrows. Blend it in, then apply foundation. I like Maybelline Pure Makeup, it is 50% water and goes on light and doesn't cake or clog pores. After foundation, take a light cream blush and lightly apply it in a boomerang shape that starts at the top cheekbone and ends at the eyebrow. Blend it in by rubbing. Then take some false eyelashes and apply them, you can find instructions on the box, you may want to pick more natural looking ones for Taylor's look. Take some cream eyeshadow and blend it to the creases on your eyelids and up to your eyebrows, using less as you go. Don't leave any lines, it needs to be a seamless blend. Apply black liquid eyeliner in very fine lines to your top lids, and dot along the bottom, smudge the bottom lid eyeliner afterwards for a more natural finish. Use an eyelash curler on your lashes, be extra gentle with the false ones, apply a few coats to the upper lashes. Pick a lip liner in a shade that resembles the natural shade of your lips, apply it and put vaseline or gloss over your lips. With the decals, you might find them at Claire's or maybe ebay, they should come with some directions. That should be it!! Good luck!!How to apply make up like...?
use a foundation liquide from cover girl callled Clean(i think)

for lips use a natural color that looks like your lips.

    eyes

    use black mascara

    and brown eyeliner

then use gray shadow for the lids

and white shadow for the inner corner of eye and the crease and on brow bone

Girls: when you apply make-up, do you look like a knock out?

or just plainGirls: when you apply make-up, do you look like a knock out?
Is it bragging to say yes? Only because someone said that to me once. I have never looked plain, natural yes, but not plain. Hey Laura, you can have my photo if you want. Of course I mean that in a total non-lesbian way (because I know you are straight).Girls: when you apply make-up, do you look like a knock out?
yes but thats because i very rarely wear it, only on special occasions.

MOST girls who wear it every day just look plain because they got it on so often
Well ... my husband thinks so! However, I only wear make-up to enhance not to cover.
I only use it to enhance my natural beauty, not cover it up.
Sometimes, you just can't fix ugly....
In all honesty.........yes. but I only wear make up once a year or so.
Yeh but it dosn't last very long :)
    Like a barbie doll
    Like a know out.
Well darling it depends what colour lipstick I wear.
yep, often look like i've had two blackeyes

Hi..i am 18 years old girl. i want to know how to apply make-up and what products of make up should i use?

please answer thisHi..i am 18 years old girl. i want to know how to apply make-up and what products of make up should i use?
Well.... try doing art of living course or some yoga. Follow what they ask you to do for a month and you will see the difference in your skin and body. The kind of things you will learn there will make you look so beautiful that you will never need to apply any make up.

By the way, there are also some side affects that your complete personality will improve but I hope that will not be a problem for you :)

Sort of different answer you might not be expecting but try this out once.Hi..i am 18 years old girl. i want to know how to apply make-up and what products of make up should i use?
Wash Your Hands and Face! Before touching your face, ALWAYS wash your hands with a cleanser and water, and make sure your face is clean before applying makeup. Don't use soap, as it's drying on the delicate skin on your face. Don't use oily skin cremes that will ruin your pores...try to keep them as clean as possible.

Apply moisturizer. Before starting, always use moisturizer on your face! Use a moisturizer meant specifically for your face, and use it every morning and evening after washing your face. Try to get a moisturizer with some SPF in it; your skin will thank you!

Smooth. With a concealer brush, or your finger, gently stipple that's one shade lighter than your skin tone under the eye to cover any darkness under the eyes. Also use your concealer on zits, red spots or other imperfections. Now blot it in using your middle finger. Make sure you dab, rather than wipe with your finger, otherwise you will take all the concealer off. Also, you can use foundation as concealer, but using concealer specifically will give you better results.

Pat. Using a large and soft powder brush, swirl on some similar toned powder (compared to your skin color) to set your concealer...Warm tone powder works the best. Blend it well so that it looks really natural. You can also use a liquid foundation, but make sure you blend it very well (check for lines around your jawline!) and make sure it matches your skin tone. Girls with oilier skin might want to stick to powder, and girls with drier skin might prefer liquid foundation.

Comb. Using a brow brush or a toothbrush, comb your eyebrows up and across, or softly apply eyeshadow [matching your eyebrow color] to fill in brows, making them appear fuller. If you have full eyebrows, skip this step. Do set your brows in place using a brow brush with gel, clear mascara, or a brow brush with hairspray. Again, this isn't imperative, but one of those extra things you might want to do before a date or another occasion you want to look your best.

Shadow. Use a brush to apply a creamy colored and slightly iridescent and glowing skin tone shade. If you are going for a tan look, use a soft bronze color. If you are going for a cover up color, use a soft skin tone one. Some shimmery white crisply lining the eyes can open them up.

Blush. Apply gel blush to the apples of your cheeks. Smile, blend up and in a circular motion, always blending towards the temple. You can also follow your cheekbone. Blend, blend. You can also use a powder blush, but be careful as they tend to pack more of punch. Less is more.

Curl. Although it is hardly necessary, you can sometimes use an eyelash curler, even when applying clear mascara. It can make your eyelashes look very professional. If you don't know how to use it see related Wiki Hows below. It does the exact same thing as a blow dryer, it dries up your lashes. Mascara goes on top and bottom lashes- always apply it thicker on the outer lashes. It makes your eyes look big and sexy. Apply 1 or 2 coats on the top lashes, and use what is left for the bottom lashes.

Apply lip gloss. Fill in entire lip using a tinted lip balm. Then, using your finger or brush, spread gloss on top. Find out your skin tone, and the colors that match it. Always use a transparent gloss over tinted lip balm

Eye shadow. First, put white shadow all over your eyes. Then, choose a color you like and apply it underneath the crease of your eye lid. Lastly, you can put sparkles on top on lid to make it look sexy.

Experiment with light, fun colors - pastels, soft metallics, and bright colors. Go beyond powder shadows for textures that are creamy, shimmery, sparkly or glittery.

    Eyeliner can be tricky.

Too much eyeliner is never good. It depends on your eye color: green %26amp; blue eyes can apply as much as they would like, and brown eyes should always do it on top and bottom. But if one has small eyes, be extra careful to not use too much. It also helps if one applies eyeliner just on top. Always draw the liner as close to the lash line as possible.

Use a mascara that has a base primer coat and a constructing top coat. The primer helps your lashes prepare for the mascara. L'oreal Volume Shocking is really great because there are two separate wands and the second one is a tiny comb that separates your lashes.

Draw a black or brown line the closest you can get to your top lash line, but draw the line by making small dashes at a time. Then get a shadow that is the same color as the liner (in this case black or brown) and go over the liner. You don't need to smudge it, but if you need to, use a cotton swab. Viola! Sexy, smoky, and modern.

Make sure your eyebrows are natural-looking. Just tweeze stray hairs. Do not over-pluck! Over-plucking is a very common mistake that teenage girls make. To know what shape you should tweeze follow these instructions:

Picture a straight line from the inner corner of your eye going straight down the side of your nose. Follow that line upwa
I could give you a detailed answer, but I dont know anything about your face. id need to know eye structure (round, almond, etc.) face shape (heart, oval, small round, etc.) eye color, hair color.

you can buy a seventeen magazine from a local grocery, convenience, or drug store. they give tips and full instructions on techniques including brands and where to get them. they specify which looks are good for you based on your best facial feature, you eye color, what type of putting you're going on, etc. they have new ones every month, its very helpful If you're lost in the make up world like u seem to be.

I can give you sum tips if you give me much more detail about your face or a face shot pic.
go to a store that does make up. in most cases you want to find something to match your skin tone, and bring out your qualities. for instance, if you have green eyes, brown and purple eyliner bring out the color the most! if you like the way your cheeck bones are shaped use a good color of blush to bring them out! what i do when i want a new way to use make is look at people in magizines and just copy it! maybeline works best. mary kay is ok too..i do NOT suggest cover girl eyeliner. clineque is very good as well.
apply foundation one tone lighter to your skin(face and neck) and blend it finely.now apply some compact powder.make sure the application thin.

now apply some eye shadow and mascara to your eyes

put some blush and finally apply some lipstick.

    and you are done with

    use Chambour products
